Core Learning Timeline & Weekly Modules
The 2-month program breaks down the syllabus structurally to build strong competencies in safety management frameworks:
Foundations of Safety Management Week 1
Understanding the moral, legal, and financial reasons for safety. Introduction to the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle, IOSH terminology, and practical training on drafting a standard Company HSE Policy.
Risk Assessments & Hazard Analysis Week 2
Differentiating between Hazards and Risks using the HSE UK 5-Step method. You will practice identifying who might be harmed and evaluating risk levels across industrial workspaces.
Workplace Hazards & Controls Weeks 3–4
Deep dives into physical hazards: slips, trips, falls, machinery interactions, electrical systems (LOTO, ELCB), chemical storage, and manual lifting techniques using the LITE principle.
Permits & Incident Investigations Week 5
Learning the Permit to Work (PTW) system for hot, cold, and confined space entry. Training covers accident scene preservation, evidence collection, and root cause analysis techniques.
Occupational Health & Measuring Performance Week 6
Monitoring environmental conditions (using Noise and Lux meters), examining long-term hazards like asbestos and silica, and managing workplace stress, welfare facilities, and environmental aspect registers.
Construction & Special Hazards Weeks 7–8
